Pacman Themes """"""""""""" A theme consists of one or more pictures, each picture may have many sprites located on it. The template folder contains pictures that explain the layout of the sprites on a picture. The other folders contain different themes based on the template. Each theme has one picture file for each picture file in the template directory, with the same name as the template file, and with it's sprites arranged in the way dictated by that template file. This way a new theme can be taken into use in the game simply by changing the directory that the theme is loaded from. When creating new themes, it's advisable to use a big original picture, perhaps 1024*1024, and export the finished theme as scaled down pictures. This way it's easier to work with the originals, and the game art can also be exported at greater resolutions if needed. For pacman, the final pictures are 192*192 pixels, allowing 8*8 sprites of size 24*24 pixels. -- zzorn 2004-06-10
